Privacy notice
How we use
your information.
Thistle Links is the data controller for personal information submitted through this website or by email. This notice explains how that information is used when you make an enquiry.
Information we collect
We may collect your name, email address, country, group size, preferred dates, room and transport preferences, budget guide, course wish list and any other information you choose to include in your enquiry.
Why we use it
We use enquiry information to respond to you, understand the trip you want, prepare a proposal, check relevant supplier availability and take steps at your request before a booking contract is entered into. Our main lawful bases are taking pre-contract steps at your request and our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and managing the business. Where we must retain records to meet a legal obligation, that obligation may also provide the lawful basis.
Who we may share it with
Where necessary to prepare or fulfil your requested itinerary, we may share relevant details with golf clubs, accommodation providers, transport operators and experience suppliers. We may also use service providers that host the website, process website forms or provide business email. We do not sell your personal information.
Marketing
Submitting a trip enquiry does not add you to a marketing list. If Thistle Links introduces marketing emails later, they will be handled separately and in line with the applicable electronic marketing rules.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information only for as long as it is reasonably needed to deal with your request, follow up the proposal and maintain appropriate business records. If an enquiry becomes a booking, some records may need to be retained for longer for contractual, accounting or legal reasons.
International processing
Some technology or travel suppliers may process information outside the UK. Where that applies, Thistle Links will use providers and arrangements intended to provide an appropriate level of protection for personal data.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights over your personal information, including rights to access, correct or erase information, restrict or object to certain processing, and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. If we rely on legitimate interests, you have the right to object to that processing. Contact us using the details below to exercise a right.
Cookies and analytics
This version of the website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. If non-essential cookies or analytics are introduced later, the website will be updated with the appropriate information and consent controls before they are set.
